About Sakebiba

Sakebiba is an independent English guide to sake in Japan. We help visitors find sake tastings and brewery tours they can book, and breweries they can simply walk into.

What we do

We collect bookable sake experiences from tour operators’ own websites and from booking sites, group listings of the same experience together, and show the price each site displayed on the date we checked. We also keep a directory of breweries that welcome visitors, with facts taken from each brewery’s official site or the local tourism office and linked to that source.

What we don’t do

We don’t take bookings, and we don’t accept payment from breweries or operators to be listed or to change what we say. We don’t copy photos or reviews from booking sites: photos on this site come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and are credited on each page.

Responsible drinking

The legal drinking age in Japan is 20. Pace yourself on tastings, eat something first, and never drive after drinking.
